Turning Compassion Into Action: Hope for Emmanuel Junior Primary School

On Saturday, May 10th, the serene greens of Nyali Golf Club were filled with more than just the sound of golf swings—they echoed with purpose, prayer, and passion. The Rt. Rev. Dr. Alphonce Mwaro Baya, diocesan bishop, opened the Jamu Imaging Foundation Charity Golf Tournament with a heartfelt invocation, blessing the mission to uplift Emmanuel Junior Primary School in Kwale.

In attendance were Rev. Anthony Maina, vicar of St. Peters Nyali; Dr. Peter O'Mara, founder of the Jamu Imaging Foundation; Paul Kiage, Dr. Ominde, and Eng. Adala—all united by a common cause: to invest in education and transform lives.

But behind the event’s celebratory atmosphere lies a pressing reality.

The Urgent Crisis at Emmanuel Junior Primary School

Emmanuel Junior Primary School, a beacon of learning in Kwale, is grappling with severe challenges that threaten its mission to educate and empower. Once sustained by a single borehole, the school is now without access to clean drinking water. This not only endangers students' health but also compromises hygiene and learning conditions.

Teachers—the unsung heroes of this school—continue to give their all despite unpaid wages, inadequate housing, and transportation hardships. Their commitment is unwavering, but their burdens are heavy.

The school's infrastructure is crumbling. Classrooms show visible signs of decay: peeling paint, cracked walls, and outdated facilities that fall short of providing a safe and stimulating learning environment. Meanwhile, unused land around the school holds untapped potential for transformative development—classrooms, playgrounds, and even libraries that could redefine education in this community.

How You Can Be Part of the Change

The Jamu Imaging Foundation, together with its partners, is issuing an urgent call to action. We invite you—our community of supporters, well-wishers, and education advocates—to join hands in addressing the school's most critical needs:
