United in Service– Induction of Departmental Leaders at ACK Mombasa Memorial Cathedral
In a deeply moving service held at ACK Mombasa Memorial Cathedral, the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Alphonse Mwaro Baya, led the induction of leaders drawn from across the church’s vital ministries.
It was not just a ceremonial moment, but a holy commissioning — a reminder that leadership in the church is a calling rooted in servanthood, humility, and faithfulness.
The cathedral was filled with members, family, and well-wishers as leaders from different departments were officially set apart for service, including:
A Charge to Lead with Faith and Integrity
In his sermon, Bishop Mwaro delivered a powerful message based on Romans 12:6–8 and 1 Peter 4:10–11, reminding the newly inducted leaders that spiritual gifts are not for display but for service.
“If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.” – 1 Peter 4:11
He spoke of the weight of leadership, calling each ministry leader to walk in integrity, remain grounded in prayer, and seek to build up the body of Christ rather than personal status.
A Church Strengthened by Servant Leaders
The ceremony marked not just an event, but a movement. A fresh wave of leadership has now been empowered to carry forward the mission of Christ within the Cathedral and beyond.
As we celebrate these men and women, let us also lift them in prayer. May they serve with humility, lead with vision, and never grow weary in doing good.
