Rt. Rev Dr. Alphonce Baya and King Charles III meets religious leaders at Mombasa Memorial Cathedral
The Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev Dr. Alphone Baya and The British Monarch King Charles III on Friday toured the Mombasa Memorial Cathedral
Also present was; The Governor of Mombasa County Abdulswamad Nassir and the Chief Executive Officer of the Coast Interfaith Council of Clerics Stephen Anyenda.

They met Faith Leaders in the Women’s Chapel before taking a seat alongside ten other members of the Coast Interfaith Council of Clerics.
They discussed on the role of interfaith dialogue in promoting peace, security and development with the Coast Interfaith Council of Clerics members,
The King then proceeded inside the Cathedral, where he viewed some of the building’s architectural features before meeting the Cathedral’s choir.
The King then unveiled a plaque marking his visit, before departing.
Mombasa Memorial Cathedral is the central church of the Anglican Church of Kenya’s Diocese of Mombasa.
A great part of the history of the Anglican Church in Kenya coincides with the history of the Diocese of Mombasa founded in 1898. This was the starting point of the development of the church in the territory which came to be called Kenya. Previously, the areas had been part of the Diocese of Equatorial Africa and earlier still the coast missions had been under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Mauritius.
CICC Trust is a clerical organization that promotes peace, security and development in Kenya through intra and interreligious dialogue and action. It comprises of religious institutions from African traditional Religion, Christianity, Hinduism and Islam.
